First Friday festivities are scheduled 6-10 p.m. Friday in downtown Los Altos.
The evening will feature activities for all ages. Visitors are invited to browse and shop at the open stores and galleries, many of which offer First Friday discounts as well as complimentary refreshments.
Live entertainment will include performances by Transitive Closure, The 37th Parallel, Jonathan Luxton, the Los Altos Chamber Players, The Potentials and harpist Katherine Healzer.
In celebration of Oktoberfest, a beer and wine garden will be open 8-10 p.m. on the patio behind the Costume Bank at 169 State St. Sunday Seven, a Bavarian band, is slated to perform.
